Linear Motion with Constant Acceleration:

This applet investigates linear motion with constant acceleration. The user is able to control the amount of acceleration and examine the result on the graphs of the motion.

Directions

The motion of the car has initial values of 1 m/s for the speed and 0 m for the displacement.

The acceleration may be changed by using the slider at the top of the display. If the acceleration is changed while the car is paused, the graph from that time on will adjust to match the graph of a car that had that acceleration from the beginning of its motion. This allows for comparison between two or more accelerations.

The graphs for both speed and distance occupy the lower window. Click on the arrows or drag the divider to resize and show both graphs.
